Join renowned London beer writer and expert Des de Moor, author of London’s Best Beer, Pubs and Bars, for a fascinating short walking tour rediscovering the days when the UK capital was also the world capital of brewing, including a visit to a contemporary brewery taproom with tastings included.

Discover numerous brewery heritage highlights including the surviving remnants of Mann’s Albion Brewery, Charrington’s Blue Lion Brewery and Tilney’s Alba Brewery as well as great views of Truman’s and a host of intriguing back streets and parks.

Starting point is Shoreditch High Street Overground station and finishing point is Bethnal Green (Central Line, Overground) close to numerous other contemporary beer venues.

Total walking is around 5 km or 3 miles, at an easy pace with a maximum group size of 15. The tour takes about three hours in total.

Price includes guiding and beer tasting at taproom.

Tours start at 11.00 on Sundays during winter and 18.30 on Thursdays in summer.
